The Healthcare Leadership Mindset

Dec 6, 2021

Are you curious about a career in Population Health Management? Then you'll want to listen to today's episode with Elizabeth Fonseca, Program Director for Population Health Management at Mass General. In this capacity, she directs a portfolio of programs focused on redesigning care to increase value. Elizabeth leads a team of project managers and care navigators in implementing a suite of programs across the care continuum- spanning the primary care, specialty care, post-acute care, and home-based care settings- as well as the transitions in between those care settings.

In our conversation, we discuss what led her into this career pathway, how she works with departmental leadership to implement visions that transform healthcare, the most important project management skills one should focus on and so much more. What I love about our conversation is that she drops so many tangible actions steps you can take and start applying now!

Elizabeth holds a Master of Science in Global Health and Population from the Harvard TH Chan School of Public Health and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology (Honors) from Boston College. In addition to health, Elizabeth has a keen interest in education. She is a certified teacher of English as a Foreign Language and serves as a tutor/mentor to students and young professionals in the greater Boston area.
